It’s been an important year for Larkin Street – A year where our whole organization has worked at full speed to achieve the bold goals we set forth in our strategic plan, all aimed at helping our young people achieve their independence.
- We expanded our first-of-its-kind education and employment model, The Learning Center, piloted in 2014 to close the college- and career-readiness gap for homeless youth by adding two new career-tracks in the technology and health care industries.
- We relocated our service hub to Golden Gate Avenue in the Tenderloin, combining service sites and administrative offices that were previously spread across several blocks. The spacious new facility gives us the space to realize our ambitious plan for the future.
- We launched the public phase of our $10 million Growth Campaign to fund the strategic efforts to move the needle for homeless youth in San Francisco and beyond, and we’ve hit the $7 million milestone in funds raised.
