July 25 - Team Larkin Street

Support our team as they run in the San Francisco Half Marathon, this Sunday,
July 25, 2010.

Below you will find 3 cheering areas where you can watch out for runners with Team Larkin Street shirts. The 2nd Half starts Sunday July 25 at 8:20am. For maps and more info click here:

Cheer Areas

Larkin Street's Haight Street Referral Center
Runners could arrive in this area as early as 9:00 and still be passing by around 9:40/10:00. This location can be found at the corner of Haight St. and Central.

Potrero Hill and the "Dogpatch"
Runners will begin to pass mile 8 starting around 9:20
Make some noise!! Help participants at one of the more difficult parts of the race. Cheer, dance and support the participants around miles 8-10 to help them finish the race!

Embarcadero AT&T Park - Folsom
Catch the runners in the home stretch. They run behind AT&T Park, see them as they run along the Embarcadero just past AT&T all the way to the finish at Embarcadero & Spear.

July 27 - Commonwealth Club
Forum: "Homeless LGBTQ Youth: Cause and Effect"

Join us for an intriguing conversation about LGBTQ Youth. Research suggests that a disproportionate number of homeless youth are LGBTQ. This talk examines the high incidence of homelessness among LGBTQ youth, how Larkin Street Youth Services and other organizations meet the needs of homeless LGBTQ youth, and how the community can better support LGBTQ youth.

August 15 - REAF AIDS Benefit Concert
Help is on the Way XVI

Support our HIV programs while attending a fabulous gala and concert at REAF’s Help is on the Way XVI. "Help is on the Way" is Northern California's largest annual AIDS benefit concert. It's an elegant evening of fun including a stellar silent auction, cocktail reception, VIP reception of course, the all star concert including performances by Carol Channing, Carole Cook, America Idol star Kimberly Locke and Bruce Vilanch.

You can support Larkin Street by becoming an underwriter or purchasing a gala ticket. You can also purchase raffle tickets to win a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; A weekend in the Wine Country; or a San Francisco Stay-cation.
