Thank you to the San Francisco Chronicle for highlighting voices that matter in the debate surrounding Prop C, a local ballot measure that would increase taxes on businesses to fund homelessness services in San Francisco. Anubis Daugherty, a Larkin Street alum and Prop. C advocate, talked about his experiences with homelessness services and how the measure would help expand and improve programs that help young people experiencing homelessness.
Here is an excerpt:
“Services like Larkin Street’s Pathways program, which offers young people rental subsidies, furniture, and help with moving and signing a lease. That’s what finally got Daugherty a room in an SRO hotel two years ago.”
