Juneteenth 2020: How to celebrate virtually in the Bay Area
The Bay Area typically celebrates the occasion with large festivals and celebrations, but this year the coronavirus pandemic and health restrictions related to COVID-19 have changed those plans. Both Berkeley’s Juneteenth festival and San Francisco Juneteenth have been canceled, though plans for a virtual commemoration appear to be in the works for San Francisco, according to the event’s website.
