We’re grateful to Congregation Emanu-El for their enthusiastic embrace of the value of “tikun olam” (“repair the world”) through their support of the work to end youth homelessness this year.

From a holiday gift drive supplying backpacks stuffed with gifts for each of the young people in our housing programs to their weekly meal nights and a special Yom Kippur discussion panel, Congregation Emanu-El has made such an impact. Most recently, the Temple launched monthly in-kind donation drives among their membership with a focus on shelfstable food followed by a drive for rainy weather gear.

Many thanks to all the everyone at Congregation Emanu-El including Rabbi Bauer and the Tzedek Council for joining in this important work to improve the future for all San Franciscans.
