After 90 hours of hard work with 18 volunteers, our Haight Street housing program has a beautiful new garden!  Friends of Larkin Street, our next-gen group of supporters, organized their first volunteer gardening event on Sat., April 1, and we’re so impressed with the result.

Young people living at this facility can now enjoy and help maintain the freshly planted garden, as well as a more inviting entryway.

A very special shout out to the Friends of Larkin Street volunteer committee, and to Orchard Supply Hardware and Flowercraft Garden Center for their generous donations of supplies! We also got a Meyer Lemon tree from Just One Tree, a local non-profit that promotes urban food sustainability.
