Larkin Street’s Youth Leadership Department’s Fellowship Program is a 8-month term designed for youth interested in a career within social services.


  • Collaborate with staff on revising internal policies and procedures, co-facilitate youth and/or staff focus groups, conduct surveys, co-host resource fairs and/or cultural events, and attend external advocacy opportunities
  • Complete trainings such as CPR/AED/First Aid, Crisis Prevention Intervention, Harassment, Harm Reduction, Mandated Reporter, Mental Health First Aid, New Hire Orientation, Restorative Justice/Practice Separate
  • Hybrid Format *Note: Fellows will be required to meet in person a minimum of 75% of the time located primarily at 134 Golden Gate Avenue & 711 Van Ness Avenue


  • $35 per hour Paid bi-monthly
  • $100 travel stipend and $100 grocery stipend per month

Candidate Requirements:

  • Larkin Street youth, aged 18-24
  • Ability to work 10-15 hours per week
  • Commitment to 8-month program
  • Comfortable speaking, reading, and writing in English
    *Note: Youth can apply regardless of citizenship status. Youth who are bilingual+ are strongly welcome to apply.
