Thanks SFBay for writing about the $10 million OES grant that Assemblymember Phil Ting helped secured for Larkin Street and three other organizations working to end youth homelessness. One of our young people, Anubis Daugherty who spoke at the press conference announcing the grant, was featured in the article.

Here is a quote from Anubis:

It’s surreal and so is standing here speaking at the press conference with the mayor of San Francisco and a state Assemblymember here in the Haight where I laid my head on the very concrete you are standing on… Without Larkin Street, I would still be homeless. I could be dead.”

Our very own Sherilyn Adams was also quoted in the article:

“This investment in this community… will go a long way towards helping to alleviate the number of young people who are unsheltered, who don’t have access to housing and supporting services across the state.”
