Thank you to the San Francisco Chronicle for the coverage of District 8 Supervisor Rafael Mandelman’s visit to Larkin Street Academy. Supervisor Mandelman spent the afternoon talking with young people accessing our services about what circumstances led them to us and what the City can do in order to better support young people experiencing homelessness.

“If San Franciscans knew what was being done, both by the local government and nonprofits, they may feel a little better,” he said from the East Coast, where he is spending a few days off before getting back to work. “There are a lot of really committed public servants that are working really hard to grapple with this problem.”
