Bay Area-native and recording artist G-Eazy came back home to support young people experiencing homelessness by launching his new Endless Summer Fund and making Larkin Street the first ever beneficiary!

G-Eazy, who is currently in the middle of the Endless Summer Tour, came to us with his interest in learning about LGBTQ services and art programs. Last week, he carved out some time to visit our Engagement and Community Center to learn about our work to end youth homelessness.

During his visit, he handed out free Puma apparel, took selfies with each of the young people, invited his personal barber Kevin Kellett to give free haircuts all day, and delivered a $50,000 check from his Pride Month T-shirt sales. G-Eazy also donated 50 tickets to his show in Sacramento on Saturday for our youth!

It was definitely an unforgettable day for many of our young people as they got to meet one of their idols!

“I listen to his music all the time and so to finally meet him was kind of unreal. His music has helped me get through hard times in life and I just never thought I would meet him,” Larkin Street youth Ezekiel Addison said.

We can deploy the funds G-Eazy donated where they’re most needed – often, that is in things like education, employment, youth leadership, and performing arts. These are the elements that bring young people hope that they can change the trajectory of their lives and journey out of homelessness.

Many thanks to G-Eazy and his team for making this incredible day happen! Watch this video from G-Eazy’s day with young people!
