Once again, our Paving the Way Gala was a huge success, we raised one million dollars, and we have all of you to thank for that!
Mayor London Breed, who has been an impassioned advocate for young people for years, received our Anne B. Stanton Award and shared her own meaningful story.
Our Youth Achievement Award recipients, Shaquill “Keo” Byrd and Rudy Hurtado, inspired the crowd with their hard work to move past homelessness and reach their potential. Our emcee and Larkin Street alumnus, Chris Black, shared how our programs helped him find his passion for technology and how he now volunteers weekly with our Tech Learning Center.
We capped off the night with an amazing after party hosted by our next generation group of supporters, Friends of Larkin Street!
This night wouldn’t be possible without our generous sponsors, donors, guests, the event committee, volunteers, staff, and each of our presenters. Thank you for helping us exceed our goal and support more young people reaching theirs!
