The first Tech in the City of 2017 was terrific! Raising funds for Larkin Street, the evening’s panel featured rock stars of the health-tech field including: Liz Rockett (Director, Kaiser Permanente Ventures), Alejandro Foung (Founder/CEO, Lantern), Tyrone Anderson (Head of Client Success, Collective Health) and Dr. Scott Hammond (UCSF Center for Digital Health Innovation: Exec. Dir of CDHI/GE and CDHI/Intel machine learning and deep learning initiatives).

Before the panelists gave us the inside scoop on health-tech, Microsoft’s Thea Smith Nilsson announced a new $10,000 grant to Larkin Street! Not only was Microsoft generous enough to host the event in the fabulous Microsoft Reactor space in SOMA, they are once again helping fund our work to end youth homelessness!

More info on Larkin Street’s programs for young people experiencing homelessness is available here, and  we also have information about volunteering with Larkin Street here.

We hope to see you at the next Tech in the City! Info coming soon!
