PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:         The Business Systems Analyst identifies and recommends improvements to an organization’s software, hardware and business systems. The Business Systems Analyst works closely with subject matter experts to understand business requirements and implement platforms and processes to meet those needs.


  • Gathers requirements from subject matter experts, understands the business need, prepares conceptual design, approves detail design, implements, tests, trains, reports and analyzes business processes and software solutions to support end users
  • Identify and develop solutions and answers to users’ difficulties, determine the technical and operational feasibility of their solutions, as well as estimate the costs to develop and implement the solutions
  • Organizes and leads strategic initiatives and projects
  • Interviews users to collect information about problem and leads user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error
  • Handles problem recognition, research and isolation, assignment and follow-up of customer incidents with software suppliers
  • SharePoint development and maintenance through requirements gathering, site building, metadata design, workflow scripting, user acceptance testing and deployment of sites, features, lists and libraries, scripting and workflows
  • Salesforce development and maintenance through requirements gathering, metadata design, solution development, user acceptance testing and deployment
  • Monitors/Supports Daily Transaction Flows
  • Identifies opportunities for the application of new technologies
  • Improve training and operational procedures to increase productivity
  • Trains end users and creates training materials on software process operations


  • Oversee all phases of project from conception to completion
  • Create and present reports to executive team members and shareholders to support recommendations
  • Troubleshoots escalated software issues from the IT Support
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; anticipating future requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification


  • 2+ years of previous experience in a business analyst role
  • Advanced working knowledge of SharePoint Development, Microsoft Enterprise Technologies, Salesforce Development, APIs, popular business solutions
  • Strong technical analysis skills to quickly understand systems and processes, analyze system records, and translate data
  • Learning Design experience using tools such as Articulate 360
  • Project Management experience
  • Complete work both independently and as an effective member of the team, adapting to changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities as needed
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Competency in computer skills: Office 365, SharePoint, Salesforce, query tools, database systems, and applications
  • Experience working with youth is highly desired, especially at-risk, homeless or runaway youth
