PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communicate safety information

  • Communicate COVID-19 safety practices and protocols to staff
  • Ensure that all staff know and follow established safe work procedures in accordance with safety protocols by creating training videos, attending (virtual) staff meetings

Promote compliance with safety protocols and procedures

  • Toxic and Hazardous substances, protocols for handling chemicals
  • Manage protocols for the various phases of Shelter in Place
  • Oversee workplace health and safety policies

In Coordination with program managers

  • Manage a cleaning protocol and schedule, update when needed
  • Monitor completion of required cleanings and ensure that cleanings are performed adequately
  • Support with concerns and questions related to compliance with the universal face covering requirement, hand washing, and physical distancing
  • Monitor and ensure availability of PPE and cleaning supplies, reorder as needed
  • Perform monthly facility and safety inspections
  • Monitor employee conformity to safety rules and policies
  • Suggest solutions, improvements and Prevention steps for safety issues

Qualifications

  • Experience in safety/health management
  • Knowledge of health and safety and guidelines
  • Attention to detail to distinguish safety hazards
  • Ability to provide reports and safety procedures
  • Good organization, leadership and motivational skills.
