PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Manager of Systems Engineering—Development Operations is responsible in providing business focus to the development of IT infrastructures, platforms, solutions and services ensuring continued operation and growth to meet the needs of the agency.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Design, implement, secure, audit and maintain all systems, platforms and network infrastructures
  • Advanced working knowledge of SonicWall Firewalls, Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Power Shell, EMS, OMS, Azure, Network Infrastructure, Microsoft In Tune, Java, Meraki Switches and Access Points
  • Monitoring the health and changes in the IT environments to remediate, developing short and long-term infrastructure plans to address evolving needs of the agency.
  • SharePoint development and maintenance through requirements gathering, site building, metadata design, workflow scripting, user acceptance testing and deployment of sites, features, lists and libraries, scripting and workflows
  • Develop tools to monitor health of IT services including IaaS, SaaS, and other services
  • Sets, maintains, and improves alerting and monitoring of all systems, applications, and critical infrastructure.
  • Automate building systems and deploying applications
  • Manage vendors, auditing their work, invoicing and due diligence on vendor selection
  • Manage payments and auditing of monthly recurring services
  • Leverage IT tools to automate solutions for repetitive tasks
  • Manage and develop cloud architectures
  • Setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of servers, network devices, firewalls, and routers
  • Provide basic administration of the Salesforce platform
  • Configuration and deployment of MDM policies using Intune

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all phases of project from conception to completion
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery, back-up and inventory procedures and information security and control structures
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; anticipating future requirements
  • Monitor productions systems, respond to and troubleshoot incidents

 

 

PHYSICAL & LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to communicate advanced technical terms and concepts into user-friendly language

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • MTA/MCSE preferred

 

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a systems administrator or systems engineer
  • Expert with cloud identity, Azure AD, Identity, SAML and Access Management
  • Experience at administration, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft Windows, Azure and Office 365
  • Experience using Microsoft EMS and OMS tools
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerShell scripting and other WIN CLI tools or scripting languages
  • Experience with networking technologies, Cisco Meraki, Dell SonicWALL and HP Aruba
  • Experience working with youth is highly desired, especially at-risk, homeless or runaway youth
