Battery Powered, the member-led giving program of The Battery, a private social club based in San Francisco, awarded grants to organizations working to make homelessness in San Francisco a rare, brief and one time experience and we are so honored to be chosen as one of the grantees! The $250,00 award will support capacity-building for services we provide like education, employment, and behavioral health for young people experiencing homelessness.
The Battery Powered community aims to help its members explore themes, share ideas and encourage generosity to spark lasting change. Each trimester, they tackle a new theme, representative of some of the biggest issues of our time, and this trimester, the focus was on homelessness. We are so grateful for this support to help us end youth homelessness.
Fellow awardees include the following amazing organizations: Brilliant Corners, Hamilton Families, Homeless Prenatal Program, San Francisco General Hospital Foundation, Swords to Plowshares, Community Housing Partnership, Compass Family Services, Episcopal Community Services, HealthRight360, San Francisco Interfaith Council and UCSF Citywide Case Management.
Congratulations to fellow grantees and thank you for all the work you do to help end homelessness in San Francisco!
