When our friends at the San Francisco Symphony canceled their upcoming shows in North Carolina to protest the state’s HB2 laws, they decided to put on a show to benefit LGBTQ organizations nationwide instead. And Larkin Street is one of the beneficiaries!
Join Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony for
Symphony Pride, a special concert celebrating the Bay Area’s spirit of inclusion and diversity with a focus on the voices of the LGBTQ community at 8 p.m. on Tues., April 4 at Davies Symphony Hall.
Tickets are available now!
Six-time Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald (
Porgy and Bess,
Ragtime,
Carousel) joins MTT as co-host and performs selections by Bernstein, Sondheim, Kander and Ebb and more. McDonald also narrates Aaron Copland’s iconic
Lincoln Portrait, a hopeful work he wrote to capture “the magnificent spirit of our country.” This is sure to be an exciting, one-time event that you will not want to miss!
The majority of ticket proceeds from Symphony Pride will support social service organizations that provide services to the LGBTQ community in the Bay Area, including Larkin Street Youth Services, Transgender Law Center, National Center for Lesbian Rights, and The Trevor Project.
Arrive early for a complimentary wine reception!
All tickets are just $25 and $50 (other than Loge, Side Box, and Premier Orchestra). For premium seating options, call 503-5500
Thank you, San Francisco Symphony, for supporting LGBTQ rights and Larkin Street!
