We’re excited to share some wonderful coverage in the Chronicle and Examiner over the last week about Larkin Street’s work to advocate for more funding specifically for youth homelessness. While there has been much talk lately about addressing chronic homelessness in SF, Larkin Street’s position is that to end homelessness, we must end youth homelessness.
First, we’re extremely proud that our own Mary Kate Bacalao and Sherilyn Adam’s opinion was published in the Chronicle yesterday. Please read that here: City should focus on young homeless
The Examiner also provided excellent coverage of the hearing last week on youth homelessness, including some of Sherilyn’s remarks: SF supervisor pledges to help nonprofit amid call to boost services for homeless youth
Finally, the Chronicle also ran a piece focusing on the need specifically for services aimed at young people experiencing homelessness, including an interview with one of our young people, Zak, and Sherilyn: Pressure grows to boost housing, opportunities for young homeless
As always, we appreciate your support of our work to end youth homelessness!
Please feel free to share any of this coverage with your networks.
