Larkin Street has joined the National Network for Youth to encourage sustained funding and congressional support for the Runaway and Homeless Youth Act (RHYA) and Education for Homeless Children and Youth Act (EHCY), and we need your help!

We urge everyone who is concerned with the well-being of children, families, and youth to take the following actions in support of these vital programs!

How you can help:

1. Send letters! Download this sample letter, edit it, and send one version to your U.S. Representative, and another version to each of your U.S. Senators.

2. Meet with your U.S. Representative and U.S. Senators when they are back in their district. During the meeting, invite them to visit your program so they can see firsthand the impact that you are having on youth and young adult homelessness in your community. The House and Senate will be back in their districts the first week of July – so reach out to schedule your meetings now.

3. Email the NN4Y policy team (eric.masten@nn4youth.org) a copy of the letters that you send, and let them know how your meetings go.

4. Share this post on social media using the hashtag #ILoveRHYA and tag @nn4youth @YouthCareSEA. You can also retweet or share Larkin Street’s posts.

Thank you for supporting our work to end youth homelessness, by lending your voice to this critical issue!
